We offer readers a two-volume English edition of all the books "Meditations on the Eucharist", which Fr. T. Dajczer (1931-2009) published during his lifetime. We owe this edition to Fr. Bryan Storey (1935-2018), who lived these contents and edited them wonderfully. It is an expression of gratitude to him and a significant part of the appendices is dedicated to him.
First of all, in these books we will encounter a fire that will be able to ignite our love for God hidden in the Eucharist. This fervor can make us willingly accept simple insights concerning our everyday lives that may lead to a new nearness with God. Upon talking about our everyday experiences, the books reveal the supernatural meanings contained within them. Both volumes of meditations in the context of the Eucharist touch all important issues on the way to God. Fr. T. Dajczer’s research in religious studies and his service as a spiritual guide contributed to this works.
The distinctive form of the English text in the current publication is due to Father Bryan Storey. He was able to transform and interpret the translation in his inner language, even as he strove to live by the content of the texts. In this way the final English text of the books expresses also Fr. Storey’s spiritual life.
Fr. Tadeusz Dajczer (1931-2009) was both an outstanding scholar in religious studies and a dedicated Catholic priest living in Warsaw (Poland).
